Try a quick exercise. Go visit CNN. Scroll through the front page – the one that’s advertised as Breaking News and Latest News. Look at the main stories, check out all the stories pinned on the sidebars. See if you find anything – and I mean anything – that looks remotely negative regarding Hillary Clinton.
Now click on the Politics tab. That’s probably where they keep the real stories right? Hmmm. I see a story on why North Carolina is so important. I see a story about three Australians who crossed an ocean to knock on doors for Clinton. But I see nothing – and I mean nothing – regarding Hillary’s email issues, the Clinton Foundation or the FBI investigation of either issue.
Now, I’m taking a bit of chance by providing the link simply because CNN stories shift and change. You just might visit the site when they actually post a real story – but I doubt it. It was exactly the same way yesterday – I’ve got the screenshots to back up what I am saying. At the time of this writing there is nothing – absolutely nothing – on all the criminal accusations, concerns and scandals swirling around one of two candidates in what has become perhaps the single most important election we face.
I’m guessing there are a bunch of you who are saying to yourself “Well of course. It’s CNN – the Clinton News Network”. And I hear you. But I was still shocked yesterday when I could find nothing in any major headline yesterday when I looked – and then the same today. And yes, my guess is there might actually be a story or two somewhere buried – please don’t come running back in a “gotcha” moment because you found a negative Clinton story floating somewhere in that huge site.
My point is this:
If you were an uninformed – or even casually informed – voter who visited CNN to get your news today you would think absolutely nothing out of the ordinary was occurring.
The same holds true for MSNBC, ABC, NBC and to a slightly lesser extent CBS.
What has happened to honest journalism? I fully understand that the vast majority of reporters are liberal – and human. I expect it, understand it and approach their reporting with a certain filter and expectation.
What I didn’t expect to see was a complete absence of reporting. To witness what appears to be a silent, unspoken agreement among the media outlets to simply not report what is literally one of the biggest stories this country has ever seen.
This has crossed the line from partisan to conspiracy.
If you don’t like that word try complicit instead.
