We identified numerous FBI employees, at all levels of the organization and with no official reason to be in contact with the media, who were nevertheless in frequent contact with reporters. We identified instances where FBI employees improperly received benefits from reporters, including tickets to sporting events, golfing outings, drinks and meals, and admittance to nonpublic social events. We have profound concerns about the volume and extent of unauthorized media contacts by FBI personnel that we have uncovered during our review. – Inspector General Michael Horowitz
I briefly considered turning this into a written article and thought better of it almost immediately. I did that once and the resulting article resides within the first tweet. One problem: the full article was so lengthy, few had the patience to read the full way through – although I encourage you to do so – some good information lurks within.
