The House Judiciary minority on Nov. 4 released a new report, FBI Whistleblowers: What Their Disclosures Indicate About the Politicization of the FBI And Justice Department (DOJ), “detailing a rampant culture of unaccountability, manipulation, and abuse at the highest level.” The Report details many of the issues that The Epoch Times has reported on over the years.

As the House Judiciary notes, “The thousand-page report builds on various whistleblower disclosures describing the FBI’s Washington hierarchy as ‘rotted at its core’ with a ’systemic culture of unaccountability.’”

The report “also highlights how the FBI has weaponized the federal government against its political opponents, illustrates how FBI leadership shows a political bias against conservatives, and enumerates instances where senior officials have pressured agents to reclassify cases as domestic violent extremism to fit a political narrative.”Continue Reading

Jan. 12, 2017, has proven to be an incredibly important date in American politics.

It was on this date that Igor Dancehnko’s soon-to-be FBI handler, Kevin Helson, sent an email regarding Danchenko with the heading: “Plan to convert into [confidential human source].” Danchenko, of course, was the primary source for former British spy Christopher Steele’s fictitious dossier on the 2016 Trump presidential campaign.

It was also on this same day that Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced the initiation of a sweeping review into actions taken by the DOJ and FBI in advance of the 2016 election. According to a new Senate minority report, the COVID-19 pandemic “was most likely the result of a research-related incident” at the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) in Wuhan, China.

The report was written by the Republican minority on the Senate Committee on Health Education, Labor and Pensions. The fact that the Democrat majority was not involved in it underlines the stark political divide on what should be a purely scientific issue.

Much of the evidence in the Senate minority report was already in the public domain but there are a number of startling new revelations, including the existence of a WIV document acknowledging that a “biosafety problem had occurred at the WIV sometime before November 2019.”Continue Reading

An FBI email previously not known to the public has revealed that the bureau planned to make Igor Danchenko—the primary source for British former spy Christopher Steele’s Trump dossier—a confidential human source (CHS) before it had even interviewed him.

The revelation, which was discovered as a result of special counsel John Durham’s case against Danchenko, indicates that the FBI deliberately targeted 2016 presidential candidate and later President Donald Trump with claims it already knew at the time to be false.Continue Reading

A new study on the origins of the pandemic, “Endonuclease fingerprint indicates a synthetic origin of SARS-CoV2,” published on the preprint server bioRxiv, concludes that it is highly likely that the SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes COVID-19 originated in a laboratory. The odds of a natural origin, according to the study, are placed at less than 1 in 100 million.

Unlike previous studies that analyzed qualitative aspects such as virus features, the new study for the first time assesses the likelihood of a laboratory origin on a quantitative basis. This breakthrough methodology allowed the authors to present objective findings that appear to exceed any previous studies. Continue Reading

John Durham’s prosecution of Igor Danchenko has revealed many details on his work for the FBI, but one overlooked—and crucial—element has been how Danchenko’s claims were used not just by the FBI but throughout the intelligence community.

According to FBI agent Kevin Helson, who was Danchenko’s handler while he was a confidential human source, as of October 2020, Danchenko’s information had contributed to “at least 40 IIRs.” 

An IIR is an intelligence report that goes out to the U.S. Intelligence Community—as Helson testified, “to pretty much all our agencies.” Continue Reading

While special counsel John Durham’s prosecution of Steele dossier source Igor Danchenko appears to be headed toward acquittal, Durham has used the trial to make public a number of revelations that cast the entire Trump–Russia collusion narrative in a fresh light.

Most prominently, Durham revealed that on Oct. 3, 2016, the FBI had offered dossier author Christopher Steele up to $1 million to provide any information, physical evidence, or documentary evidence that could back up the claims in his dossier. But despite the huge reward offer, Steele didn’t provide any such information.

Crucially, despite Steele’s failure to back up his dossier, a mere 18 days later, the FBI proceeded to obtain a FISA warrant against Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign adviser Carter Page. In its application to the FISA court, the FBI used the Steele dossier—specifically, its claim that Page was acting as an agent of Russia—as evidence. Continue Reading

The vice director of the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), Yuan Zhiming, is a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) official who was formally in charge of international cooperation and biosafety at the facility, according to a newly discovered email from 2013.

The institute is suspected by many to be the origin of the coronavirus pandemic.

The email is part of a large number of documents unearthed by the transparency group U.S. Right to Know through ongoing Freedom of Information Act litigation to uncover pandemic-related information held by U.S. institutions. Although the initial batch of documents was released in June, the email pertaining to Yuan, which was obtained from the Galveston National Laboratory, was only recently discovered by former Senate investigator Paul D. The reality is that the intelligence community, the Obama administration, and the political establishment never expected Trump to win in 2016. And when he did win, the intelligence community was suddenly faced with a very real problem. How do they cover up their actions? Their answer was to set out to destroy Trump’s presidency. In late July 2016, FBI Director James Comey notified certain members of the Obama White House, along with Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, about the FBI’s opening of the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into the presidential campaign of then-candidate Donald Trump.

CIA Director John Brennan was already aware of the investigation since he was the one who had been providing the FBI with information regarding the Trump campaign.

Brennan testified to Congress in May 2017, “I was aware of intelligence and information about contacts between Russian officials and U.S. persons that raised concerns in my mind about whether or not those individuals were cooperating with the Russians, either in a witting or unwitting fashion, and it served as the basis for the FBI investigation to determine whether such collusion—cooperation occurred.”Continue Reading
