The Left and the Right – Shoulds and Coulds

Should: used to indicate obligation, duty, or correctness, typically when criticizing someone’s actions

Could: used to indicate possibility, used in making polite requests

During this election process I’ve had numerous political discussions with people from varying backgrounds and from both political parties. And, in doing so, I’ve noticed something. When talking to folks from the Democratic side of the aisle, their discussions typically start with the word “should”. As in we “should” do something about climate change, we “should” help the poor, the rich “should” pay more, the minimum wage “should” be higher, Congress “should” do something. The United Nations (UN) was created in 1945 as a replacement for the ineffectual League of Nations. Membership was originally comprised of 51 nations – today there are 193 member nations. The UN has five primary organizational branches: the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the Secretariat and the International Court of Justice (a sixth branch – the Trusteeship Council – has been inactive since 1994). These five branches comprise the “core” United Nations. The UN also has numerous agencies that are often autonomous or semi-autonomous. These agencies include the World Bank, the World Health Organization (WHO), the Children’s Fund (UNICEF), the World Food Program, the Education, Scientific and Cultural Foundation (UNESCO) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF).Continue Reading

Have you tried holding a calm, rational discussion with your democratic friends over why you supported Trump?

Impossible.

Have you tried to hold a calm, rational discussion with those same friends over why you opposed Hillary?

Easy.

And somehow, the Democrat Party managed to ignore that simple fact. Lots of voters could not stand Trump. But they would refuse to defend Hillary.

President Trump (and The Power of the Uncool)

The uncultured billionaire won the support of the uncultured voter. And became the President of the United States as a result.

Or as Greg Gutfeld said, “The uncool kids just told the cool kids to suck it”.

Think about it this way. This country has millions of folks who get up every day, go to their jobs, coach their kids’ little league teams, have dinner around the living room table – and then sit down in front of the television and find out they are mocked for the very values that guide their daily life.

Try a quick exercise. Go visit CNN. Scroll through the front page – the one that’s advertised as Breaking News and Latest News. Look at the main stories, check out all the stories pinned on the sidebars. See if you find anything – and I mean anything – that looks remotely negative regarding Hillary Clinton.

Now click on the Politics tab. That’s probably where they keep the real stories right? Hmmm. I see a story on why North Carolina is so important. I see a story about three Australians who crossed an ocean to knock on doors for Clinton. But I see nothing – and I mean nothing – regarding Hillary’s email issues, the Clinton Foundation or the FBI investigation of either issue.Continue Reading

Others were simply compiled via the internet. I have attempted to identify the noted source, position and/or title pertaining to each quote. The quotes have been grouped under appropriate topic headings. Obviously, this is far from exhaustive but I feel it does provide a fairly good sampling of the inner thought process of the Clinton Campaign. It should be noted that the Clinton Campaign has not, to my knowledge, confirmed or denied the authenticity of these leaked emails.

Comey’s Crimes

Virginia Governor and longtime Clinton confidant Terry McAuliffe donated $467,500 to the 2015 Senate campaign of Dr. Jill McCabe. The Virginia Democratic Party (more or less controlled by McAuliffe) donated an additional $207,788 for a grand total of $675,288. This equated to more than a third of Dr. McCabe’s campaign funds. Mr. McAuliffe recruited Dr. McCabe to run in the first place – an election she lost to Republican Dick Black.

Why is this important? Why am I writing about politics on a day when I had told myself I would not do so?

Because Dr. Jill McCabe is married to Andrew McCabe. Andrew McCabe happens to be the Deputy Director of the FBI.Continue Reading

Trump has declared war on the GOP, The Department of Justice and the FBI. It all seems a bit much – over the top, hysterical and shrill. Desperate? Paranoid?
