I woke up this morning to the “stunning” news that Trump was only 4 points behind Hillary according to a new Washington Post-ABC News poll. As an aside the WSJ’s web page headline reads Trump trails Hillary by 11 using a different – and possibly earlier poll – go figure. Either way, I didn’t find the news all that stunning.

Allow me to explain. For the entire campaign, the media has been reporting on Trump. Digging up whatever they could. And then came the news of Trump’s comments and the entire firestorm that ensued. In my personal opinion the media ended up far more frothy and lathered about this issue than did the general public – but that’s not the direct point I will be making – although it is connected.Continue Reading

As the larger ramifications of their actions are being digested, some additional questions come to mind. How did the FBI know the New York Post was about to run a story on the laptop? Was the FBI’s cover-up of Hunter Biden’s laptop also related to President Donald Trump’s first impeachment trial? And why is it that the FBI had a physical office located within Ukraine’s National Anti-Corruption Bureau since June 2016?

Will James Comey and Robert Mueller Be Prosecuted for Lies John Durham Uncovered?

While special counsel John Durham’s prosecution of Steele dossier source Igor Danchenko appears to be headed toward acquittal, Durham has used the trial to make public a number of revelations that cast the entire Trump–Russia collusion narrative in a fresh light.

Most prominently, Durham revealed that on Oct. 3, 2016, the FBI had offered dossier author Christopher Steele up to $1 million to provide any information, physical evidence, or documentary evidence that could back up the claims in his dossier. But despite the huge reward offer, Steele didn’t provide any such information.

Crucially, despite Steele’s failure to back up his dossier, a mere 18 days later, the FBI proceeded to obtain a FISA warrant against Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign adviser Carter Page. In its application to the FISA court, the FBI used the Steele dossier—specifically, its claim that Page was acting as an agent of Russia—as evidence. Continue Reading

A Key Date in the Efforts Against an Incoming President

Jan. 12, 2017, has proven to be an incredibly important date in American politics.

It was on this date that Igor Dancehnko’s soon-to-be FBI handler, Kevin Helson, sent an email regarding Danchenko with the heading: “Plan to convert into [confidential human source].” Danchenko, of course, was the primary source for former British spy Christopher Steele’s fictitious dossier on the 2016 Trump presidential campaign.

It was also on this same day that Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz announced the initiation of a sweeping review into actions taken by the DOJ and FBI in advance of the 2016 election. Efforts by members of Congress to advance the narrative that President Donald Trump “obstructed justice” have now replaced the disproven claims of Trump-Russia collusion.

The public narrative of obstruction, however, originated prior to the conclusion of the investigation by special counsel Robert Mueller and his resulting report.

Less than six months after Mueller’s appointment—on Oct. 10, 2017—the Brookings Institution published the first of two reports titled “Presidential Obstruction of Justice: The Case of Donald J. Trump,” which outlined, among other things, a scenario whereby Mueller would refer his obstruction findings to Congress, which would then take up the matter and continue investigating. As war rages in Ukraine following the invasion by Russia, the realities on the ground are difficult to assess—it’s estimated that thousands have been killed, including hundreds of civilians, and 2 million have been forced to flee their homes.

Although Russian President Vladimir Putin is rightly deserving of blame, top U.S. officials over the past decade have played important roles in critical events that undermined U.S. relations with Russia and resulted in the destabilization of Ukraine.

Why Was EcoHealth Alliance’s Grant Reinstated Despite Group’s Apparent Failure to Comply With NIH Conditions?

The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has reinstated a grant that had been terminated by President Donald Trump in April 2020. However, a document first obtained by the House Oversight Committee reveals that the NIH’s conditions for reinstatement have not been met.

The grant, titled “Understanding the Risk of Bat Coronavirus Emergence,” was originally awarded in 2014 by Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID). Under the terms of the grant, EcoHealth Alliance, a government-funded nonprofit that purportedly engages in research to prevent pandemics, was awarded $3.8 million over five years to assess the spillover potential of bat viruses “using reverse genetics, pseudovirus and receptor binding assays, and virus infection experiments in cell culture and humanized mice.” Put in simple terms, NIAID was paying EcoHealth to genetically engineer and manipulate bat viruses in labs.Continue Reading
