John Carlin was an Assistant Attorney General – and Head of the Department of Justice’s National Security Division (NSD).
On September 27, 2016, Carlin announced his resignation. He formally left the NSD on October 15, 2016. Carlin had been named Acting Assistant Attorney General in March 2013 and was confirmed in the spring of 2014.
Carlin had previously served as chief of staff to then-FBI Director Robert S. Mueller.Continue Reading

The reality is that the intelligence community, the Obama administration, and the political establishment never expected Trump to win in 2016. And when he did win, the intelligence community was suddenly faced with a very real problem. How do they cover up their actions? Their answer was to set out to destroy Trump’s presidency. Or at least fatally hobble, even cripple, the new Trump administration.
As I wrote in the first part of this article, the timeline of the establishment’s actions in the first few months of 2017 tells the story of an establishment response to the very real threat that the young Trump administration presented to the long-standing, and corrupt, political structure of our nation. Before the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, a group initiated by Peter Daszak was soliciting funding for a lab leak prevention and preparation program, a newly discovered document reveals. Daszak later became known as a leading figure in Dr. Anthony Fauci’s funding of gain-of-function experiments at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China.
Daszak also helped instigate the infamous Lancet letter, which was published at the start of the pandemic in February 2020, that had the aim of shutting down any discussions about the possibility that COVID-19 had emerged from a lab.Continue Reading
Former FBI Director James Comey released his opening statement ahead of his testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on June 8 2017. My assessment follows the highlights of Comey’s statement.
Comey notes nine one-on-one interactions – three in person and six on the phone – with President Trump but highlights only five. He states:
January 6 2017:
on January 6 2017, he informed President Trump that he was not under investigation – without President Trump asking him about the matter.
he documented his first conversation with President Trump on a laptop immediately after the meeting.
he decided to create written records of conversations with President Trump from that point forward.
he did not engage in this practice with others – including written documentation of conversations with Obama – of which he says there were only two in eight years.
the FBI Investigation is a counter-intelligence investigation – not a criminal one.Continue Reading
On April 17, 2018, the FBI announced that Terry J. Albury, a former Special Agent of the FBI, pleaded guilty in connection with his unauthorized disclosure and retention of classified national defense information.
There were two interesting components to this announcement:
Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s interview with Scott Pelley of CBS’s “60 Minutes” aired on Feb. 15.
McCabe played a pivotal role in what has become known as Spygate. He directed the activities of FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page, provided an early approval of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) application on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page, and was involved in all aspects of the Russia investigation. He was also mentioned in the now-infamous “insurance policy” text message sent by Strzok to Lisa Page.Continue Reading
Former Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe sent shockwaves across the nation earlier this week when he admitted during an interview with CBS News’ “60 Minutes” to having discussed invoking the 25th Amendment in an effort to remove President Donald Trump from office.
McCabe, however, began to downplay the significance of his comments in a subsequent interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program, contradicting facts he had previously stated.
The real story goes even deeper.Continue Reading
One of the bombshell admissions from a closed-door testimony by DOJ official Bruce Ohr was that his wife, Nellie Ohr, was working for opposition research firm Fusion GPS already in late 2015.
Previously, it had been reported that Nellie Ohr was hired to find dirt on then-candidate Donald Trump in the spring of 2016.Continue Reading
Jeffrey Epstein, the multimillionaire who had recently been indicted on charges of sex trafficking, has been found dead of an apparent suicide in his jail cell. According to a statement from the Department of Justice’s Federal Bureau of Prisons, “Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell in the Special Housing Unit from an apparent suicide at the Metropolitan Correctional Center” in New York City at 6:30 a.m.
The Associated Press reported that “Fire officials received a call at 6:39 a.m. Saturday that Epstein was in cardiac arrest, and he was pronounced dead at New York Presbyterian-Lower Manhattan Hospital.”
The FBI is now investigating the incident.Continue Reading
