a common sense approach to a liberal world
Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act:
Congress makes the following findings:
(1) Each sovereign nation, under international law and custom, may designate its own capital.
(2) Since 1950, the city of Jerusalem has been the capital of the State of Israel.
(3) The city of Jerusalem is the seat of Israel’s President, Parliament, and Supreme Court, and the site of numerous government ministries and social and cultural institutions.
(4) The city of Jerusalem is the spiritual center of Judaism, and is also considered a holy city by the members of other religious faiths.
(5) From 1948–1967, Jerusalem was a divided city and Israeli citizens of all faiths as well as Jewish citizens of all states were denied access to holy sites in the area controlled by Jordan.
(6) In 1967, the city of Jerusalem was reunited during the conflict known as the Six Day War.
(7) Since 1967, Jerusalem has been a united city administered by Israel, and persons of all religious faiths have been guaranteed full access to holy sites within the city.
(8) This year marks the 28th consecutive year that Jerusalem has been administered as a unified city in which the rights of all faiths have been respected and protected.Continue Reading
There is never a democracy that did not commit suicide. – John Adams
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government. – U.S. Constitution, Article IV, Section 4
Our Founding Fathers were acutely aware of the dangers inherent in a Pure Democracy.
Thankfully for us, they found an appropriate solution.
A Democracy is Rule by the Majority – this is the singular defining feature. Stated another way it is Majority over Man.
In a Democracy, “We the People” are viewed as a group. The purpose of a Democratic Constitution is to empower the majority of the people to rule.
At it’s core, a Democracy is a Dictatorship by the Majority.Continue Reading
Fusion GPS is the firm who commissioned the infamous – and discredited – Steele dossier on President Trump. Fusion GPS is currently stonewalling the Senate Judiciary Committee’s investigation into Fusion GPS ties to the Democratic Party. And Fusion steadfastly refuses to say who paid for the dossier.
Now, it turns out that Fusion GPS was employed by the Russian government – at the exact same time that Fusion commissioned the Trump dossier.
Stop and think on that a moment.
The FBI was actually utilizing propaganda potentially commissioned by Russia as a reason for launching the entire Trump-Russian investigation in the first place.Continue Reading
“There can be no substitute for strong, sovereign, and independent nations, nations that are rooted in the histories and invested in their destiny, nations that seek allies to befriend, not enemies to conquer, and most important of all, nations that are home to patriots.” – President Donald J. Trump
“Wherever true socialism or communism has been adopted, it has delivered anguish and devastation and failure.” – President Donald J. Trump
President Trump addressed the United Nations General Assembly for the first time today.
President Trump was clear, direct and forthright.
Sovereignty was the underlying and continuing theme.
It was a speech the UN members needed to hear – containing truths that needed to be told.
It might have been President Trump’s best speech to date.Continue Reading
It’s been a while since I wrote about the strange case of the Awan Brothers – the fugitive IT specialists for House Democrats – so I figured it might be time for an update. For those in need of some background, here is the earlier article.
Imran Awan was arrested July 24, 2017 at an airport as he was attempting to flee the country. He was flying to Pakistan by way of Qatar – following his wife who had fled the country in March with $12,000 in cash. He has been charged with four counts of bank fraud in connection with his wire transfer of nearly $300,000 to Pakistan. Imran and his brothers, Abid and Jamal, are under investigation by the FBI and U.S. Capitol Police for accessing congressional computers and stealing IT equipment.
The Awan brothers provided services to as many as 80 House Democrats over the years and had access to the electronic files and emails of House Intelligence and Foreign Affairs Committee members. They provided their services on time-divided basis among the various Democratic Representatives.Continue Reading
A study published in June 2017 titled, On the Validity of NOAA, NASA and Hadley CRU Global Average Surface Temperature Data & The Validity of EPA’s CO2 Endangerment Finding has found ongoing data manipulation issues within the Global Average Surface Temperature (GAST) data used in the Climate Models. The study is written by Dr. James Wallace III, Dr. Joseph F. D’Aleo and Dr. Craig D. Idso. Unlike much of the work presented by the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, this study has been peer-reviewed – by seven different Ph.D. scientists – all with prestigious backgrounds and multiple degrees. From the study:
The objective of this research was to test the hypothesis that Global Average Surface Temperature (GAST) data, produced by NOAA [National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration], NASA [National Aeronautics and Space Administration], and HADLEY [University of East Anglia Climate Research Unit], are sufficiently credible estimates of global average temperatures such that they can be relied upon for climate modeling and policy analysis purposes.
It was found that each new version of GAST has nearly always exhibited a steeper warming linear trend over its entire history. And, it was nearly always accomplished by systematically removing the previously existing cyclical temperature pattern. This was true for all three entities providing GAST data measurement, NOAA, NASA and Hadley CRU.
The conclusive findings of this research are that the three GAST data sets are not a valid representation of reality.Continue Reading
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
The First Amendment of the Constitution is surprisingly short. It also applies only to restrictions against government actions. “Congress shall make no law…”
Over the years, courts have expanded the Free Speech interpretation of the First Amendment to apply against state and local governments in addition to the federal level. BUT – the First Amendment does not apply against companies, organizations or individuals.
In other words, CNN political analyst Kirsten Powers was correct when she noted that, “News organizations cannot violate a person’s First Amendment Rights”.Continue Reading
Devin Nunes gave another “must-see” interview with Maria Bartiromo on Sunday. Nunes helps make clear the increasingly obvious.
For only the second time in our nation’s history a standing political party attempted to block the peaceful transition of power following an election.Continue Reading
As the first of two historic meetings begin today, I thought it worthwhile to revisit the most public revealing of this sordid affair.
On March 22, 2017, after learning of Trump Transition surveillance, Devin Nunes gave an impromptu press conference followed by a more formal press conference (transcripts here).
Like many, I will not soon forget the look of pure shock on Nunes’ face.Continue Reading
